About Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists
The Indian Association of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (IAPA) is the national professional body representing anaesthesiologists dedicated to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. Established in 2006, the Association was founded to advance the practice of paediatric anaesthesia by promoting the highest standards of patient safety, education, clinical excellence, and research. It serves as a collaborative platform for professionals to share knowledge, exchange ideas and develop evidence-based practices. Over the years, IAPA has grown into a vibrant community with more than 1,245 life members committed to advancing the specialty across India.

To make paediatric anaesthesia safe for all children.
Mission
Promote safe paediatric anaesthesia across all healthcare settings.
Advocate for minimum standards of infrastructure, equipment, and clinical guidelines wherever children receive anaesthesia.
Enhance the knowledge, skills, and competency of paediatric anaesthesiologists through continuous medical education (CMEs), conferences, and training programmes.
Develop future leaders in paediatric anaesthesia through structured fellowship programmes and standardized certification.
